Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides
March 24 @ 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM$25.00
Looking for another way to enjoy the great outdoors this winter? Welcome the season, embrace romance and discover nostalgia and take a horse-drawn sleigh ride at the Paul Smith’s College VIC. Sleigh rides are much more than circling around a track, they’re fodder for vacation-defining moments and stories to share back home. Enjoy the majestic trip through the forest under a thick blanket and then return to warm up next a roaring outdoor campfire or enjoy a meal inside the Frank M. Hutchins Lodge. Rides run every 45 minutes from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. Sleigh capacity is limited to 7. Please choose a different time and/or date if you are experiencing difficulties purchasing tickets at check out.
Horses have long been apart of the Paul Smith’s College experience. Students learn driving and practical horse care through the Forestry Department. The Draft Horse Club has always been one of the most active student activities. The club hosts weekly free wagon rides for students, organizes fundraising and outreach events that are open to the community, and participates in other PSC events as requested. The Program also collaborates with the Forestry Department to provide a Draft Horse Management, available to
any PSC student. Outside of this, the Program is building new courses and workshop
collaborations with the VIC, the Town of Saranac, local farms, and more!
