Great Adirondack Birding Celebration – Lectures at the VIC June 4th 3-4PM

There will be three brief (20 minute) ornithology related presentations in the VIC theater on June 4th 3-4PM.
- Tim Neilson, as an avid birder who recently relocated to the Malone area, has traveled the continent for many years filming warblers (mostly spring males) from the Rio Grande to Canada. He now has footage of all the warblers represented north of the Rio Grande, including the border stragglers like the Tropical Parula. He will present his edited work in one film for the first time at the VIC!
- Jesse Rock, a Paul Smith’s College graduate student, will give an introductory talk about the new Paul Smith’s College Adirondack Bird Observatory (ABO). He will be covering the ABO’s goals and objectives, showcasing current projects and discussing future research and education initiatives
- Dr. Michale Glennon, Science Director with the Adirondack Watershed Institute will present on her long term research on Boreal Birds in the Adirondacks
